Doug Bishop, of Baxter, Iowa and a member of the Yahoo 102nd ID group allowed us to post these photos. They are of his father Coy, during and after the war.

Betty Bucsek sent us these photos. She wrote: I am sending two pictures. One is the 405-3 my father PFC Nicholas Louis Bucsek jr is holding the tip of the flag. The other he is in uniform with the Ozark Patch. He went from Camp Maxey to Camp Forrest, TN. He was in the 2nd Battalion HQ company On D-Day at Pointe du Hoc. On June 18,1944 he was assigned & jd fr 17th RD. Have no information until Pilson, CZ on 5.11.1945 when HQ was at Dolni Lukavice. (I have pictures, as he met my mother near there and married her on 8.23.1945 in Pilsen. Awards: Combat Infantry Badge, French Croix de Guerre/Silver Star, US Presidential Unit Citation, and ? 2 British Military Medals. I have an original Green Beret, 2nd Rangers, given to me by his Ranger friends at his funeral in February of 1970. I now belong to Descendants of WWII Rangers.
